Tournio Privacy Policy

Tournio is a trading name of Adassa Innovations Ltd (“Tournio”, “we”, “us”). We respect your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share personal data when you use our website (tournio.co) and our product dashboard (app.tournio.co) (together, the “Services”).

We act as the “data controller” for the personal data described in this policy (unless stated otherwise).

2) What data we collect

a) Data you provide

  • Account details: name, email address, password (stored securely), username
  • Organisation and tournament info: club/team names, tournament details, fixtures, venues, schedules, results
  • Support messages:if you contact us, we’ll process what you send

b) Data collected automatically

When you use the Services, we may collect:

  • Device and usage data: IP address, browser type, device identifiers, pages visited, actions taken, and approximate location (city/region level)
  • Cookies and similar technologies: see the Cookies section below

c) Payments data

Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store full card details. Stripe may process:

  • name, email, billing details
  • payment method details (handled by Stripe)
  • transaction IDs, amounts, and payment status

If organisers use Stripe Connect, Stripe may also collect information to verify their identity and manage payouts (this is handled by Stripe as a separate controller/processor depending on context).

3) How we use your data

We use personal data to:

  • provide and operate the Services (accounts, tournaments, fixtures, registration, standings)
  • process payments and manage billing
  • communicate with you (service emails, invites, notifications, support)
  • secure the Services (fraud prevention, abuse detection)
  • understand and improve the Services (analytics, performance monitoring)

4) Legal bases (UK GDPR)

We process personal data under these legal bases:

  • Contract: to provide the Services you request (account, tournament management, payments)
  • Legitimate interests: to secure, maintain, and improve the Services (e.g., preventing abuse, debugging)
  • Consent: for non-essential cookies/analytics where required (you can withdraw consent at any time)
  • Legal obligation: where we must comply with UK law (e.g., accounting, tax)

5) Cookies and analytics

We use cookies and similar technologies for:

  • Strictly necessary functions (authentication, security, core functionality)
  • Analytics (only with your consent where required)

Analytics tools we use

  • Google Analytics (GA4) to understand marketing site performance and user journeys.
  • PostHog to understand how people use our product and improve features.

Consent: On our marketing site you can choose Accept or Decline for analytics cookies. If you decline, analytics scripts will not load. You can change your choice at any time via Cookie Preferences.

6) How we share your data

We share personal data only where necessary:

  • Service providers (processors) who help us run the Services
  • Payment providers (Stripe) to process payments and manage subscriptions
  • Legal / compliance where required by law

We do not sell your personal data.

7) Our processors and sub-processors

We use trusted providers to run Tournio. Depending on your usage, personal data may be processed by:

  • DigitalOcean (hosting/infrastructure)
  • Amazon Web Services (AWS S3) (file storage for uploads such as logos and documents)
  • Stripe (payments, billing, and Stripe Connect for organiser payouts where enabled)
  • Resend (transactional email delivery)
  • Google Analytics (website analytics)
  • PostHog (product analytics)
  • Sentry (error monitoring and performance tracking)

These providers may process data outside the UK. See International Transfers below.

8) International transfers

Some of our providers may process data outside the UK. Where personal data is transferred internationally, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as contractual protections and, where applicable, adequacy decisions or equivalent measures).

9) Data retention

We keep personal data only as long as needed:

  • Account and tournament data is retained while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards in case you return or request restoration.
  • Payment records may be retained longer to meet legal and accounting obligations.
  • Support communications may be retained for service improvement purposes.

You can request deletion of your account (see Your Rights).

10) Security

We take security seriously and use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data, including encryption in transit, access controls, and secure storage practices. No system is 100% secure, but we work to minimise risk.

11) Your rights (UK GDPR)

You may have the right to:

  • access your personal data
  • correct inaccurate data
  • delete your data (in some cases)
  • restrict or object to processing (in some cases)
  • data portability (in some cases)
  • withdraw consent (for consent-based processing, such as analytics cookies)

12) Children

Tournio is not intended for children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
