Tournio Terms of Service
Last updated: 4 March 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Tournio’s website and services, including tournio.co and app.tournio.co (together, the “Services”). Tournio is a trading name of Adassa Innovations Ltd. By using the Services, you agree to these Terms.
If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
1) Who we are
Tournio is a trading name of Adassa Innovations Ltd (“Tournio”, “we”, “us”). We provide tournament management software for grassroots sports and similar events.
Company number: 11876636
Registered address: 71-75 Shelton Street, London, WC2H 9JQ, United Kingdom
Contact: [email protected]
2) Eligibility and accounts
- You must be at least 18 years old to create an organiser account.
- You are responsible for keeping your login details secure.
- You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
- You are responsible for all activity under your account.
3) The Services
Tournio provides tools to:
- create and manage tournaments/events
- collect registrations
- generate fixtures and standings
- manage schedules, venues, and results
- publish public tournament pages (if enabled)
We may update, change, or discontinue parts of the Services over time.
4) Plans, fees, and payments
a) Fees
Some features require payment (one-time event fees and/or subscriptions, depending on your plan). Plan details and prices are displayed in the app or on our website and may change from time to time.
b) Payment processing (Stripe)
Payments are processed by Stripe. You authorise us (and Stripe) to charge your selected payment method for the fees you agree to. We do not store full card details.
c) Subscriptions
If you purchase a subscription:
- it renews automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date
- you can cancel via your account settings (or by contacting support)
- cancellation stops future renewals; it does not automatically refund the current billing period unless required by law or stated otherwise
d) Taxes
Prices may be shown inclusive or exclusive of taxes depending on your location and plan. You are responsible for any applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.
5) Organisers, teams, and third-party payments (Stripe Connect)
If the Services enable organisers to receive payments from teams/participants, this may be facilitated using Stripe Connect.
- Organisers may need to complete Stripe onboarding and provide verification information to Stripe.
- Stripe may act as a separate controller for some onboarding and compliance data.
- Tournio is not responsible for Stripe’s independent decisions (e.g., account verification outcomes, payout timing, or holds).
- Tournio is not responsible for refunds on payments made to organisers. Refund disputes for organiser fees are between the organiser and the payer.
6) Refunds and cancellations
Unless stated otherwise:
- One-time event fees and platform fees are non-refundable once payment is made, except where required by law.
- Subscriptions can be cancelled to stop renewal, but billing periods already paid are not refunded unless required by law. If you cancel a subscription within 14 days of your initial purchase, you may be entitled to a full refund under the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.
- Tournio’s platform fee is separate from any fees collected by organisers. Tournio is not liable for refunds on payments made to organisers via Stripe Connect.
If you believe a charge is incorrect, contact [email protected].
7) Your content and responsibilities
You may upload or submit content (e.g., tournament details, logos, team names, fixtures, results) (“User Content”).
You:
- retain ownership of your User Content
- grant Tournio a worldwide, non-exclusive licence to host, store, reproduce, display, and distribute your User Content solely to operate the Services (including displaying public pages if enabled). This licence terminates when your account is deleted and your content is removed from the Services
- confirm you have the rights to use and share the content you upload (including logos and branding)
You are responsible for:
- obtaining consent where needed (e.g., if you publish participant information)
- ensuring tournament information is accurate
- complying with laws and competition rules applicable to your event
8) Acceptable use
You must not:
- break the law or violate others’ rights
- upload malware or attempt to hack or disrupt the Services
- scrape or reverse engineer the Services
- abuse the platform (spam, harassment, fraudulent registrations)
- use the Services to process illegal or prohibited transactions
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.
9) Privacy
Our processing of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy. By using the Services, you acknowledge you have read it.
10) Service availability and support
We aim to keep the Services available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Planned maintenance and outages may occur.
We may provide support via email and in-app messaging. Support response times are not guaranteed unless you have a separate written agreement with us.
11) Intellectual property
Tournio and all related IP (software, branding, designs, documentation) are owned by us or our licensors. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from our Services except as permitted by law or with our written permission.
12) Third-party services
The Services may integrate with third-party services (e.g., Stripe, analytics, email). We are not responsible for third-party services and your use of them is governed by their terms.
13) Disclaimer
The Services are provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
Tournio does not guarantee tournament outcomes, attendance, results accuracy (if entered by organisers), or the actions of teams/participants.
14) Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.
- Our total liability for any claim related to the Services is limited to the amounts you paid to Tournio in the 3 months prior to the event giving rise to the claim (or £50 if you paid nothing), unless law requires otherwise.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or other liabilities that cannot be limited under law.
15) Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate your access if:
- you breach these Terms
- your use creates risk or legal exposure
- payment fails or chargebacks occur (where applicable)
You may stop using the Services at any time. You can request account deletion by contacting support.
16) Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, we’ll provide reasonable notice (e.g., via the website or email). Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms.
17) Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales will have exclusive jurisdiction, except where consumer law requires otherwise.
